I bought a Mitsubishi LVP-SA51U last year through Troxell, Bob Berry et. al.
I had selected a model that was part of a discount for our district and they
substituted this one. I don't remember the exact price but it was around
$2300 I think. Anyway I have been quite pleased with it, it is light and
portable and has worked well so far.

    Sean,
I don't have experience with the unit you are asking about, but we are
pretty pleased with the projector listed as recommended on the "inside"
    site, the Hitachi CP-S845-ED
    (http://inside.seattleschools.org/inside/purchasing/projector.xml). It
costs $2199 and is rated at 1000 lumens. Very solid unit, easy to set
up and use, plenty bright so far.... - Mark
