Welcome to the Arbor Heights School
Young Authors' Conference 2005!

On May 26, 2005, we held our annual Young Authors' Conference. Every student (K-5) published a book. On this special day each student had a chance to share his or her book with other students, parents, and teachers. This event was organized by our Young Authors' Day Committee.

Our day started out with a Performance of Ereth's Birthday, by Avi, adapted by David Quicksall:

In the afternoon of the 26th, all Arbor Heights students shared their books in small groups with children from other classrooms and grades. After that, there was an all-school recess and autographing party! Thanks to our PTSA for our beautiful "spray-dyed" T-shirts! Everyone got to design their own shirt! Then we got real busy signing them:

In the evening of the 26th we had special readings in the Lunchroom, a Book Fair in the Library, and all our Young Author Books on display in the Gym. What a wonderful day!
