On May 23, 2007, we held our annual Young Authors' Conference. Every student (K-5) published a book. On this special day each student had a chance to share his or her book with other students, parents, and teachers. This event was organized by our Young Authors' Day Committee.

In the morning (for a change) of the 23rd, all Arbor Heights students shared their books in small groups with children from other classrooms and grades. After that, there was an all-school recess and autographing party! Thanks to our PTSA for our beautiful periwinkle T-shirts! We got real busy signing them right away:

Mr. Wilkie signs...In the afternoon we enjoyed a performance of The Trumpet of the Swan, by E. B. White, and then we returned to our classrooms for Young Authors celebrations to end the school day:
