On May 22, 2008, we held our annual Young Authors' Conference. Every student (K-5) published a book. On this special day each student had a chance to share his or her book with other students, parents, teachers, and members of the community. This event was organized by our Young Authors' Day Committee.

In the morning we enjoyed a "Book It" performance of Stupid Tales!
In the afternoon of the 22nd, all Arbor Heights students shared their books in small groups with children from other classrooms and grades. After that, there was an all-school recess and autographing party! Thanks to our PTSA for our beautiful purple T-shirts! We got real busy signing them right away:

Party time!In the evening, books were on display in the lunchroom, a Book Fair was going on in the Library, and authors had a chance to read their books in our front lounge. What a fantastic day!
